YEAH I KNOW IT SUCKS
Let me confirm that ‘Consume and Expire’ is a project by people who know what they are doing with noise; they make it noisy and with the half an hour of White Bear you could consider yourself lucky if you had any ears left for the other fine music projects and their quality material on this lengthy release. White Bear is sounding like a massive forest fire, in a Groundhog Day way as it never seems to refrain from burning. Somehow I envision a firetruck also going up in these hot flames & somehow (thanks to the title) also a white bear.
So sad, as I love animals and don’t think there is anything in my hands being able to safe this bear. Maybe some other humans can? In the track there are some helpers I believe. You can hear them on their Walkie talkies while they fly around in noisy helicopters for their rescue attempts. It’s a hard struggle for these helpers to go I there and actually help as the more ‘White Bear’ moves along the harsher the vibe gets. Perhaps the helpers do manage to go in only to be met by a frightened and hungry bear who decides to attack the helicopter and all the other action heroes.
But don’t be sad as after this it’s time for Sexy Crocodile For Dinner & Diva_Caramella’s Silenzio Imbarazzante parte 1 & 2 and it’s pretty much the polar opposite of silence. I imagine being a neighbor of Sexy Crocodile For Dinner (probably a flamingo) and having to stick my head all the time under water to dilute these massive noise freak outs. It’s noise that is like a storm-creature, something that goes not for a happy picnic but more or less for a disastrous ski vacation that somehow will destroy the earth as we used to know it. It’s a illustrious flow down a winter hill with huge spikes in the ground that might cut every snowboarder, or skier who decided to go down.

Ich zweifle, dass Hunde sich den 'White Bear' / 'Silenzio Imbarazzante' Split (ACT 1038, C-60) als Kunst aufbinden ließen. Kylie Damnyou, der in Victoria, British Columbia, via Garbage Men Puking und Fuck Yr Body Up postindustrialen Noise ausschüttet und selber als The Answer To All Your Questions oder Mr. & Mrs. Teeth dazu beiträgt, fordert da zusammen mit Will Rossi als CONSUME AND EXPIRE die Anteilnahme an der Behandlung amerikanischer Gefangener. Mit Pestrepellerkrach in vielspurig schroffer Harshness, der Mann und Maus bei lebendigem Leib skelettiert. Dazu hält der Journalist Will Potter einen Vortrag über Isolationshaft und andere Schweinereien im Bürgerkrieg gegen den Terror, gegen Tierschützer und kriminalisierte Ökoaktivisten. Bei SEXY CROCODILE FOR DINNER, Avantnoise aus Italien, der schon rosa Höschen zwischen Wolken von Magritte schweben ließ, ist danach betretenes Schweigen Programm. Durch flackerndes Geheul, Niagarafallbrause und schlirre, sorry, schrille Hirnfräse, immer mal wieder mit einem stampfenden Loop interpunktiert, treibt er den Teufel mit Beelzebub aus. Derart rumpelig schlurcht sein Tonbandterror, den er unverdaut aus Krokodildärmen hervor zerrt, dass sogar die Kakerlaken kopfschüttelnd aus der Wohnung strömen.

DEAD FREQUENCIES
This time we are dealing with a bit more noisy material than before and this split is right up my alley from the very begining. Harsh at the one point, but still listenable, even for the listeners who are not so much into harsh noise. Consume And Expire is a duo consisting of Wil Rossi and Kylie Damnyou. Their sound can be best described as interesting mixure of harsh noise and drone, with occasional experimentations with vocal samples, synthboxes and microphony. ”White Bear” is a thirty minute recording which takes you to the tunnel full of constant changes in sound, so you will easily find this track interesting than boring to your ears. It’s like a trip to another dimension and the only thing you have to do is to let the sounds take care of your flight. Sexy Crocodille For Dinner is an interesting project hailing from Italy and it’s totally different from the first part of this split release, presented with two parts of ”Silenzio Imbarazzante”. This is a very good mix of sampled vocals, sounds and beats covered with huge ammounts of distortion, fuzz and it creates such a pleasant mess that I had to check out the tracks couple of times just to be sure that I haven’t missed something. There’s a lot manipulations with contact microphones and delay which are overlaying the aggressive sound of the rest of the equipment, but it sounds interesting at some point. I am so glad that I had a chance to hear such a good harsh noise project. This release comes on red tape in the white shell, so be fast and grab your copy while it’s still available.
