IMPROVISATION + REAL TIME PROCESSING = THERE ARE NO PREDEFINED STRUCTURES

Conducts its research in the field of electronic music creating compositions starting from the investigation on the interaction between the intrinsic structures of sound materials and the random, extemporary musical structures produced by the "analog" approach to the instrumental practice.
The focus is on the SOUND and it´s transformation. This same approach to composition and musical research is shared in other two musical projects, which are also organised in series:

"Numeric Series"
electronic sounds with models, tools and languages of technology and scientific research
"TiLT Series"
Conventional Sound Modules (or Machines) pushed to their functional limits
“Electronic Fairy Tales Series”
Abstract sounding fields with which the listener is stimulated to build and follow an imaginary story or tale

"JANARA - TiLT {serie3}" / It explores the relations between Noise and Musical Structures and it tries also to answer to the following simple
questions:

<<Can I still compose ‘music’ with the Noise?>>
<<How can i model and organize the Noise when it is the result of Uncontrollable Machines (TiLT Machines) >>

(my definition of 'Tilt Machines' is: Conventional Sound Modules – or Machines - pushed to their functional limits)

JANARA is a witch protagonist of many tales of the peasant tradition of Southern Italy, mainly in the Benevento area. Their name derives from Dianara - priestess of Diana - or from the Latin "Ianua" - literally "door". According to tradition, in front of the door it was necessary to place a broom or a sales bag in such a way as to induce the JANARA to count the threads or grains until the sun rises and then run away. Even today it is believed that the sense of oppression in the chest that occurs during sleep - sometimes accompanied by hallucinations - due to nocturnal paralysis is caused by the presence of JANARA who at night enjoys jumping on people's bodies trying to suffocate them, especially on young men.
