this is an open call for a 4-way split CD series.
** PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
concept / requirements:
- each volume will consist of 4 tracks by 4 different artists
- the name of each release will be always THING (no numbering)
- required track length: 12 to 15 min
- each volume will be released as a proCDr, 100 copies in cardboard sleeve
- each artist will pay for and get 20 copies of the compilation ( € 35 incl. shipping)
- each artist is allowed to offer the whole release as physical and digital version on her/his own bandcamp, homepage and so on
- no deadline
- we will use your track as soon as we have 4 artists/tracks ready that fit together by style and mood (please be patient)
- please send your track as wav file (44,1kHz / 16 bit) via WeTransfer to:

- the track should be exclusive (older tracks that are not available anymore on CD are fine aswell)
- please include a short bio, links to your homepage, bandcamp, facebook, etc, and an artist picture (12x12cm, min 300 dpi)

THING
As Thing or Ding (Old Norse and New Icelandic þing, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish ting; Upper German also Thaiding from Old High Germany. Taga-ding were popular assemblies (Volksthing) and court assemblies according to Germanic rights. The place or location at which such a meeting was held is called a thing place or thing site and was often slightly elevated or under a tree (judicial linden tree), but always in the open air. The places of these court meetings were later also called Malstätte or Malstatt and marked with court stones.
