BAD ALCHEMY

Diesem bereits starken Stück folgt mit Vietnam (ACM 1006, 3" CD-R) eine noch intensivere Bühnenmusik für eine Performance von Lienus Nguyen, der dabei seine traumatische Kindheit in Vietnam in Erinnerung ruft. Abgründig grollende Drones, dumpfe Schläge, sakrale Gesangsfetzen, plinkende Loops einer vietnamesischen Zither und Flöte, splitterndes Glas, Schreie, martialische Trommeln und immer wieder Sounds wie von Kanonendonner oder zeitlupig im Tiefengedächnis schrappenden Hubschrauberrotoren. Nguyen ist 1971 geboren, hat also noch vier Kriegsjahre in den Knochen, die R.X.o.N. als unausgelöschte Grundierung suggeriert, bevor er die Erinnerung in Wellen katastrophisch-kathartisch eskalieren lässt.
