igloo magazine:
With its rich, analogue sound, recurring leitmotifs and sunny disposition, it’s easy to imagine a captivated infant reaching into the air to grab at its soft, chunky, Fisher-Price chords like a colourful mobile revolving above its crib.

Elektroopa is a funny word that that could be translated as “Electric Grandpa.” The artist normally produces darker, big beaty music with a snarl as Elektrojudas, but he recently also became a grandfather. Für Sophie is a kind of young person’s guide to electronic music.

It’s a twenty-three minute jaunt that plays with tones, colours and scales, at a friendly, shuffling pace and in a melodic, burbly mood, sprinkled with children’s laughter. With its rich, analogue sound, recurring leitmotifs and sunny disposition, it’s easy to imagine a captivated infant reaching into the air to grab at its soft, chunky, Fisher-Price chords like a colourful mobile revolving above its crib.
