Gelba was founded in 2011 by Michele Mazzani and Matteo Poggi who, tired of other musical experiences, decided to give birth to a new impro project: visionary high mountain field recordings, complex guitar solutions, and arcane tape loops reprocessed to infinity, creating a wall of sounds that alternate with more evocative and cosmic parts.
Both musicians operates since 2006 and opened gigs for many other projects bands thru the years, including Rinus Van Alebeek, Jooklo Duo, Bear Bones Lay Low, To Live And Shave In L.A.,Nodolby, Burial Hex, Astro, Thurston Moore, Bruital Orgasm, etc

They have just released a new trippy split tape with My Cat Is An Alien (out on Swiss' premium Old Bicycle rec.); more recent works soon available via Monstres Par Exces , Troglosound, Lost Treasures of the Underworld and on their own labels Lonktaar and Swollen Avantgarde...
