Subtle sounds of acoustic instruments meet found sounds of vaguely machinic (or natural?) origin and subterranean drones. A journey along beautiful shores, at last as far as one can tell through the aural fog that enshrouds them. There may still be some rocks below the surface, though – beware!

Recorded live at an event in the elektrosmog series of experimental music in Mannheim, curated by Volker Hartmann-Langenfelder, Fiebig and EMERGE combine their various approaches to drone music (the more instrument-oriented Fiebig and the more ‘dark ambient’ EMERGE). The result is a new take that sounds refreshingly different from both artist’s recent solo work.
